Silvia Ehnis Pérez Duarte is a Mexican dancer and choreographer. She was born in Mexico City in 1985 and lives between Cologne and Bochum in Germany since 2012. She is one of the founding members and co-artistic director of the dance company TachoTinta. Her artistic work has been presented in Mexico, Germany and South Korea, and includes stage pieces, artlabs, artistic research projects, and workshops. With TachoTinta, she received the Flausen+Scholarship in 2019. She is supported by Kölner Kulturpaten, KunstSalon and the flausen+netzwerk. As a guest dance artist, she has collaborated with other choreographers and dance companies such as mouvoir/ Stephanie Thiersch, CocoonDance, Overhead Projekt, Kollektiv ZOO and Artmann&Duvoisin. Silvia Ehnis studied Contemporary Dance at the University of Music and Dance in Cologne, and continued her artistic education with the Master in Scenic Studies at the Ruhr University Bochum. Before moving to Germany, she obtained a Bachelor in Political Sciences and Public Administration in the Faculty for Social and Political Sciences at UNAM in Mexiko City.
